ways of balancing your brain...

before trying these exercises,i suggest you to take some brain tests to determine which side of your brain left or right is dominant ..view balqis's blog!!

Balance Your Brain

1. Rub both palms together whenever you think your brain feels out of balance.

2.Alternate nostril breathing – inhale through the left nostril, exhale through the right nostril; in through the right nostril, out through the left, in through the left and so on. Always start with the left nostril.

3.Learn to draw. No matter how badly you do it, and you will improve with practice, drawing allows you to take time for yourself, and will leave you feeling much more balanced. We all need to take out time for ourselves once in a while, even if it is only for half an hour. And, with drawing, you have the additional benefit of being left with your own masterpiece to show. So, go grab a pencil, some paper, and tell your left brain to go take a siesta for a while; in doing so your right brain will be so very grateful

4. do something out of routine.Use your non-dominant hand if you're right-handed try brushing your teeth with your left hand, or spending a few minutes a day writing with your left hand. It's fascinating to see how awkward it is when you first write with your "wrong" hand. But after some practice you'll see that your writing will start to look like your early attempts of writing at school. If you keep practising it will slowly improve and your control of the pencil and speed of writing will get better and better and so will your access to your right hemisphere

5.Try some brain boosting body movescertain body moves are known to balance the brain. Juggling, walking while swinging opposite arms and legs, and marching on the spot all help to get the left and right side of the brain working together.

6. Creative Planning doodling rather than writing word lists or linear notes is a good way to engage your right brain. You can daydream, scribble and sketch your way through a problem solving session and find yourself stress free and super resourceful when you emerge from the other side.

7.Mind Mapping is another great way to work on paper with your whole brain. It's fast, fun and encourages excellent radial thinking and recall with minimal effort.

9.While sitting down in a chair, tap your left thigh with your righthand and right thigh with the left hand and allow your mind wonder where ever it will go. Do this fir about five minutes. It will relax you calm you and center you. It also balance the two hemispheres
